Frequency Input Module
The VBOX FIM02 takes 4 digital inputs and converts them to CAN. It is primarily designed to connect to a VBOX II S and VBox 111 and can be used to log wheel speeds from an ABS unit (for example) along with the normal channels of VBOX data. Other uses for the FIM02 include measuring Engine Rpm, and logging the output from Fuel Flow meters.
The range of the Frequency Input Module is 0.5-20KHz, and can take TTL, or inductive inputs.
The module is configured internally with individual names, scales and offsets for each channel, and these values are then transmitted over CAN.
