The GPS engine in the VBOX II DGPS can be put into various dynamic modes. The standard setting is automatic, so that it senses what kind of test you are performing, and adjusts itself accordingly. If you want to optimise the GPS engine for your particular test, you can force it into different modes :

• Mode 3 Walking
• Mode 4 Bicycle
• Mode 5 Car low dynamics (<1g)
• Mode 6 Car high dynamics (>1g)
• Mode 8 Adaptive
   

The mode number is entered into the GPS engine using the "VBOX Setup" screen, and clicking on the "Setup" tab. Type the message "$PASHS,DYN,x" where x is the mode number. Then click on "Send message to GPS engine". You will get a reply which should contain an "ACK" for acknowledge, if "NAK" appears, you have typed the command wrongly. Once the "VBOX setup" screen is closed, this will be stored permanently into the VBOX.
